Ginza Kojyu
Purist Japanese Cuisine that Won Over Paris
Kojyu’s reputation in its native Ginza is unshakable. Since its owner, Mr Okada, took the decision to a branch in Paris in 2013, he’s been one of those responsible for ensuring Japanese cuisine receives its deserved acknowledgment as a world class cuisine. In recognition of his achievements, he was named by the Director of the Food Industry Affairs Bureau of the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Foresting and Farming as a Goodwill Ambassador of Japanese Cuisine.
For Mr Okada, the idea that customers of his Paris branch would be so overawed by the quality of the Japanese cuisine and service received there that they would be inspired to pay a visit to his Ginza branch is an unexpected joy.
Mr Okada has a great passion for Japanese cuisine, which makes itself felt in all that he does—from the way he wields his knife and chooses his dishes to the service and the ambience in his restaurant. No wonder that he’s gaining such a firm following from foodies who are determined to experience ‘the real thing.’
