Kanamean Nishitomiya
Secret hideaway loved by celebrities and VIPs.
Kanamean Nishitomiya is a long-established ryokan (Japanese-style hotel) founded in 1873, in an area surprisingly tranquil for being at the heart of Kyoto. The six guest rooms built Sukiya-style, an architecture style created in the tradition of tea ceremony in Kyoto, are all comfortably spacious. The room “Yokobue” is popular for having a private stunning garden the guests can admire from the ground-leveled, natural-stone-paved floor space near the entrance. The room feels open and wide with large windows, and you can also enjoy relaxation in the spacious hinoki (cypress) bath.
