Izumi is a restaurant specializing in fugu (globefish) cuisine for more than 90 years since its foundation. The third-generation owner chef, Mr. Naohiro Miyatake , who continues to mesmerize the food connoisseurs with his traditional fugu cuisine with a contemporary touch, aims to make it widely known that the globefish can also be enjoyed during the summer and not just during winter. The course menu with natural fugu is the most recommended. The fugu sashimi is sliced twice to give the piece a wider surface to allow better harmony with ponzu sauce and other condiments.
