Peonies in spring, hydrangeas in summer, chrysanthemums in autumn, and camellias in winter in a single scarf

Chiso is a long-established Kyoto Yuzen kimono store in Kyoto, which has been in business for 470 years. Chiso has been reflecting the beauty of Kyoto's nature and the aesthetic sense of traditional patterns in its kimonos, and the stoles produced by Chiso will be on special sale.

This scarf looks like a square canvas with delicate line drawings of the changing seasons. The design is from “Keinen Kacho Gafu, Flowers and Birds of the four seasons” by Japanese painter Keinen Imao, published by Chiso in 1891. Counterclockwise from the spring peonies in the lower right, the painting depicts summer hydrangeas, autumn chrysanthemums, and winter camellias.

This yellow scarf brightens up a simple outfit and makes it look brighter and more youthful. The color-changing diagonal borders accentuate the scarf when worn around the neck.
