Takumi Okumura

Takumi Okumura is located on the south side of Hanamikoji Street of Kyoto, a district with many ochaya - tea houses where geiko entertainment is held. The worldly praised chef, Mr. Naoki Okumura serves the most elegant kaiseki-style French cuisine in this traditional machiya residence renovated into a kappo restaurant (Japanese-style restaurant with counter seating). By often conversing with the guests over the counter, he arranges the fresh seasonal ingredients into exquisite dishes catering perfectly to each guest’s preferences. Counter seats, a private room with hori-gotatsu (floor tables with legroom), classical Japanese-style room with tatami floor, and a room with table and chairs are available to accommodate different occasions.
